Train stations are very common places for children to be abandoned in China. While We were boarding our train to Harbin we suddenly saw and heard a boy of about 8 running around frantically screaming"mama, baba". No one seemed to notice him. We were moving in a sea of people toward my train platform and could still hear him screaming in the distance. That scene will haunt me for the rest of my life and I will never know if I witnessed an abandonment or not. It happened very quickly. I just prayed all night that it was not what I thought it was and that he found his caregiver quickly.
Thanks for following! Donna

Oh Donna! :( I will be praying that will be taken from you! Knowing all we know, that would be so hard to have in your head and on your heart! ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteThat truly breaks my heart! 2 of our babies were abandoned that way as babies. Olivia "at a train station" and Ben "on a train" and found in his province. Heart wrenching....Praying they were just separated temporarily and he found his family.

Oh, no! My son has a similar background story. It hurts in a way that only adoptive parents of these children could understand. We are praying with you......
