Well I thought I would try fundraising on our blog because I have seen other people be successful with it, however, I'm not very comfortable pushing for this sort of thing. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work many additional hours at our jobs. Andrew has been working his behind off (not that he had one anyway!) and I have been working any chance I can and I am happy to say we have made enough to cover the costs of our adoption and travel fees. So I feel now if we get any sales on our fundraising storefronts we will use it to donate supplies to the orphanage when we get to Harbin. I think we will be getting our I800 provisional approval any day now and things will move quickly after that. I'm getting very excited that we are finally starting to see the end or should I say beginning in sight!

LOA!!!!!

We finally received our LOA! I have a feeling it was sitting at the bottom of a pile after the CCCWA (China's adoption offices)moved their offices recently. My agency had to send their rep in China to investigate. I received an email yesterday that they were working on it and apologized for the delay. Then I received the call today that our agency received it via email and the hard copy would be there Friday! I was working in the ICU at the hospital at the time so I couldn't shout out and do the happy dance. I tried to tell my coworker who was also working in the ICU but she was talking to family members so I had to save my excitement until I was driving home in the car. I wonder how many people passing by thought I was a crazy woman. It will still be 2-3 months before we travel but it is definite now and we no longer need to worry about the expired notaries or anything else that could possibly be rejected. Jinbao here we come!

The wait is driving me crazy!

It has been 85 days since our dossier was logged in and we still have not heard a thing! Yesterday about 10 people I know of received their LOAs and they were logged in after us. I am happy for them BUT I wish China would do them in order. My agency said they are looking into it and are just as frustrated as I am. I just want to be able to get Jinbao home this summer before school starts to give him a chance to settle in. Maybe next week....
