One Less!

There is one less orphan in the world! When we arrived in Harbin at 7am things started happening very quickly! The original plan was that we would check in the hotel and meet Jinbao in the afternoon. Change of plans....our guide Lynn met us right away and whisked us to the car to bring us to the hotel. On the way she told us that we would meet him at 9:30! We barely had time to check in, shower and eat breakfast then we were off to the Civil Affairs Office. As we were walking down a hall we caught a glimpse of him in an office. We went into the official room for adoptions and they brought Jinbao in to us. We signed an agreement to take care of him for the next 24 hours which is like a trial period and tomorrow we go back and do the official paperwork which includes him signing that he agrees with the adoption. It has taken a while for Jinbao to warm up to me but he followed Andrew around like glue. They hit it off great and he is very happy to help dad relearn Mandarin. They played games like Chinese chess and cards and were also using the translator apps all day to figure things out. I helped him build a Lego set, played UNO and skyped with the kids at home. We also took some walks outside and went to McDonalds. I think he enjoyed himself and when he went to sleep he said,"Good night, see you tomorrow" in English:)
